Purpose of the Qualification
This diploma is suitable for care assistants, support workers, and healthcare assistants who work in residential, domiciliary, or clinical care settings. It supports progression into more advanced care roles and meets regulatory training requirements.
Course Content
Learners will complete mandatory units covering core aspects of care, as well as optional units tailored to their specific job roles or care environments.

Course Details
- Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 245–370 hours
- Assessment: Workplace observations, reflective accounts, witness testimonies, and a portfolio of evidence
- No exams – practical, work-based assessment only
Entry Requirements
- Age 16+
- Working or volunteering in a care setting
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills recommended
